Dental Emergencies
Dental emergencies are quite common and can happen to anyone. Whether it’s a broken tooth or swollen gums, some dental emergencies can become serious and potentially cause permanent damage. Ignoring them can also increase the likelihood of more extensive and expensive treatment.
If you feel you have a dental emergency, contact the friendly staff at Intermountain Dental. We will do our very best to arrange the schedule so that we may accommodate you and address your emergency. We understand the potential consequences of waiting and the extreme pain that unhealthy teeth can sometimes cause. If you are having no pain and feel you can wait, it may not be an emergency and we can find you an appointment that fits your schedule at a later date. If you feel that your emergency is serious and you are unable to reach one of our patient care coordinators or Dr. Duke, you should go to the emergency room and receive help.
Remember, the best way to prevent dental emergencies is to take control of your oral health. Being proactive and maintaining your routine oral hygiene appointments allows Dr. Duke and the hygienist to evaluate and diagnose teeth that could be potentially problematic and then addressing the problems before they become emergencies.
