Meet Dr. Duke

Mark E. Duke, DMD

Dr. Mark Duke was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho. Upon graduation from Lewiston High school, he attended Rick’s college and later Utah State University where he graduated with degrees in Exercise Science, Chemistry, and Portuguese. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the prestigious University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Upon completion of dental school Dr. Duke fulfilled His dream of returning to North Idaho. He has been practicing in Priest River since 2006 and looks forward to serving the community for many more years to come.

He is dedicated to providing the highest quality of dental care in a gentle, stress-free environment. He believes that excellence in dentistry begins with a careful diagnosis and treatment plan to achieve great results. He works with each patient to learn what their concerns are and encourages them to ask questions and be an active part of the treatment planning process. He is a caring, skilled professional dedicated to making the entire office visit a comfortable and rewarding experience. This commitment to excellence allows him to utilize the newest proven techniques in dentistry and maintain the best dental care for all. He is dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of care for each of his patients and enjoys the opportunity dentistry affords him to interact with so many different people. His genuine concern and compassion, along with his conservative and honest approach, has garnished him a notable reputation of trust.

Family Life

When Dr. Duke is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. They love the four seasons North Idaho offers and try to take advantage of the outdoors as much as possible. Dr. Duke is a passionate fly fisherman and enjoys hunting, backpacking, camping and mountain biking.

Emily

Office Manager/Patient Care Coordinator

Emily is another friendly face you will see at Intermountain Dental. She works with Alaina in the front office and will be there to greet you and help you with your paperwork. She works with the patients directly to address any questions regarding insurance, treatment and finances. As Manager and Patient Care Coordinator she will be working hard to ensure that your visit is as seamless as possible and her charismatic personality will put you at ease. She enjoys working with the team to create a gentle, fun loving and stress free environment for everyone. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking and camping.

Alaina Kelly

Patient Care

As the newest member of our team, Alaina’s friendly and open manner immediately set our patients at ease. While she is new to the dental field, she is not new to excellence in customer service and patient satisfaction. Alaina is a native of California and has lived in North Idaho for the past three years. Outside of the office, she enjoys wakeboarding, hiking, riding horses, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Tami Nadeja, RDH

Dental Hygienist

A native to North Idaho, Tami attended North Idaho College and then furthered her education at Idaho State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been practicing for 30 years and has been working with Dr. Duke since he graduated from dental school. Tami’s phenomenal reputation comes from her deep desire to make people healthy, happy and confident. Her genuine love for her patients motivates her to spend a great deal of time educating patients and making sure they understand treatment and home care, empowering them to take control of their oral health. When she is not working hard to inspire new confidence in our patients around the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, gardening, camping, fishing and traveling around the world.

Bethany Short, RDH

Dental Hygienist

With thirteen years of dental hygiene experience, Bethany brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to our clinical staff. She was born and raised in North Idaho and attended Carrington College in Boise for dental hygiene. Bethany enjoys getting to know people from all over the community she now calls home as well as helping people feel more confident and comfortable in their home care. When she is not working, Bethany enjoys camping with her young family, baking, and volunteering at Priest River Elementary.

Nichole Potter, RDA

Dental Assistant

Originally from New York, Nichole finally found paradise here in Priest River. Along with the move came ten years of dental assistant experience. Her joy of dentistry began back in 2011 when she attended Bates Technical College and received her certificate as a registered dental assistant, providing patients with confidence and comfort in her ability to provide quality care. When not in the office, Nichole and her family can be found gardening, kayaking and enjoying everything her new outdoor paradise can offer.
